This site is for exploring the history of the Jolly/Jolley/Jolliffe family in Colonial Virginia and beyond. The name Jolly appears to have originated as Jolliffe and, through the years, changed to Jolley and Jolly. I have also found examples of such as probate abstracts that spell it Jollof, Jolliff, Jolif, and there are probably more.
